Increasing effectiveness of outdoor advertising and online targeting

PROBLEM:

Outdoor advertisement effectiveness decreased.

SOLUTION:

Wi-Fi routers were mounted on outdoor billboards advertising the shopping mall. The technology measured the numbers of people passing by the billboards within a month. The data was compared to the visitors’ data of the shopping mall. We analyzed how many customers who saw outdoor advertising then came to the mall.

RESULT:

  • +28% uplift of those who saw ads, compared with those who traveled the same roads at the same time
  • +124% of new visitors, +128% of returning visitors
